Mexicanas Famosas Fallando

Documentary "Kokowääh"

"Kokowääh" , the new film by Til Schweiger, has started a furious, has attracted to the first two weeks over two million viewers. I have looked at the strip with Isabelle on Monday in the UCI in Duisburg.

Til Schweiger plays the moderately successful, but actually very talented screenwriter Henry, who lives in a fairly wrecked shop. He received a lucrative offer from a screenplay adaptation of writing a successful novel. The problem: The author of the novel, which he would work closely together, is his ex-girlfriend Catherine (Jasmin Great), which he had then sacked. Nevertheless, he accepts the offer. When he comes from the first appointment with Catherine home, an unknown to him, eight year old girl named Magdalena sits in front of his door, claiming to be his daughter, the result of a one-night stands in Stockholm. Her mother had to because of a process to New York, like her step-father (who was until recently for his own daughter) to see them no more, the marriage seems to break. Henry is overwhelmed with the situation at first, but he has no children and can not deal with them. In addition, the script actually calls the project his full attention ...

"Kokowääh" is an interesting film with a story that is known in its approach, which is well told. While there are some plot weaknesses (why is the mother as the child from just in front of Henry's door, if it does determined, other possibilities exist, the Little accommodate?) and the end of the strip is a bit cliched, but that hardly detracts from the film experience. Nominally, the work is a comedy and it shows also, but it also contains exciting, dramatic and tragic elements. Til Schweiger plays the leading role very convincing, and Jasmin Great mimes the strong Katharina credible. The best in my memory is the magical little Emma Schweiger - Til's daughter - that fills her role as Magda and very sovereignty acts.

Conclusion: A film that is worth it. Good cuts, great music and compelling actor. Some weaknesses in the plot are to get over, some small plates, too.

here as a foretaste of even the official trailer:
